Information for authors

General information

Submitted abstracts have been assessed and allocated on the basis of the scores to Free Papers (oral), or Poster sessions. At least one abstract author must register to attend the UGI Congress (either in person or online).

Abstracts should not have been presented elsewhere at the time of submission.

Authors who have had their abstracts accepted for presentation at UGI 2021 have been emailed directly. If you have not received an email or have any questions please email: nichola@augis.org

Information for Abstracts accepted Oral Presentations

We ask that all our Free Paper presentations are pre-recorded and sent into us a minimum of two weeks’ prior to the meeting. This is to allow for the collation of the presentations. The pre-recorded presentations will then be shown within the free paper sessions which takes place on Thursday 14 October and there will be time for questions which we would like you to be available for. The best papers from each session will be chosen for presentation again on the Friday 15 October. You or the presenting author can therefore attend the meeting as a face to face delegate or as a virtual delegate.

We have attached information on how to record your presentation using Zoom and this includes details on the Dropbox folder which we would like you to upload your pre-recorded presentation:

Information for Abstracts accepted for Online Poster Presentation

Posters will be presented electronically and online for delegates who attend the meeting in person or online. We would therefore ask that you upload your poster as a PDF on to the Oxford Abstracts Submission page.

We would recommend that your poster is created in landscape format and must be saved as a one page pdf document before uploading on to the portal. The link to submit your poster is: https://app.oxfordabstracts.com/stages/1801/submitter

We would encourage presenters to upload their poster at least a couple of weeks in advance of the meeting and we will send reminder.

 

Video Presentations

This year  for the OG Cancer Session, we have an opportunity for the submission of  a video for a short presentation on “tips and tricks’ in OG practice which will take place from 10:00 – 10:45. The video should be no more than 5 mins in length and demonstrate a technique which will be useful for colleagues. Anything from controlling bleeding to crural repair. Audio sound is not required for the video presentations. Authors who have been successful have been contacted directly with further details.
